Week 3 - September 23rd - 27th
Week Three was easily one of the best weeks we have seen from the Brooks Culinary Arts program in a while. Honestly, there was nothing but highlights.
Monday - Souvlaki. Come one. This was killer. $6.50? Try $25 anywhere in town. The tomatoes in the greens were a sneaky pleasure. The potatoes ruled, and kept it classic with the rice. Any chance for Tzatziki is a path you take.
Tuesday - Quesadillas! And I’m not talking some cheap melted cheese is lame stale tortillas. This thing was classy. A fresh take on the dish, with cumin and potatoes. Portions for days.
Wednesday - Roast Beef. Likely my fav of the week, but this week, it’s pretty impossible to pick. So good. So bloody. The horseradish was only for the brave. Kicked like a mule. I love it. Well done!
Thursday - Ain’t No Thing Like A Chicken Wing On A String (not) At Burger King….. Stuck with the Salt n’ Pepper. Classy. I want to taste the wing. Crispy, hot, golden, seasoned. Oh, can you pronounce Crudite?
Friday - I switched it up. You see, when the crew makes roast beef that good on Wednesday, you are gonna have some prime subs in the cooler. Roast Beef sub with pickled onions (so hot right now…). Loved it. Looking forward to next week. Enjoy the long weekend, it was well earnd!
